Will there be food at the tournament?

Of course!

At the Tournament:
—The Tournament will provide field food for players and coaches at headquarters (bagels, rice cakes, peanut butter, nutella, fruit).  Stop on by and grab what you need.
Concessions throughout Saturday and Sunday will be offered by Silverbacks’ concessionaire.  Silverbacks will allow Pi Cup teams to bring in field food, but asks that your field food contain sports performance snacks and NOT items meant to compete with their lunch offerings.   In other words, please don’t plan to make sandwiches on Field 3 during your bye when they are trying to sell sandwiches at concessions.  We told them we would ask our teams to try to cooperate.

Saturday Night Dinner:

—Previous Pi Cup attendees know that our Saturday night tournament dinner has been a beloved part of the tournament. Unfortunately many factors conspired this year making it impossible for us to have the dinner as usual. However, we do have an exciting alternative.

On Saturday night, our local Atlanta Hustle will be playing the Raleigh Flyers at 7:00 pm at St. Pius stadium, about a 10 minute drive from Silverbacks Park. Both the Hustle and the Flyers have players and coaches who are alums from Pi Cup teams.
The Hustle has graciously offered to host a dinner at the game for all Pi Cup teams. We are subsidizing the dinner in order to make it affordable for teams and coaches. Your team has some choices for admission and/or tournament dinner. All of your team’s players and coaches can get admission to the game for a special discounted group rate. To enjoy dinner please add a $5 dinner ticket for each player and coach. Go to the Hustle ticket shop and scroll down to “Paideia Cup” to build your order. The Hustle is also offering a discounted ticket rate for parents that want to attend too. Parents also have the option to buy a dinner ticket for $12. You can include parents into your team order to pay just one time, or you can share the links and let them order and pay on their own.
For dinner, please place your order by April 19th so that they can ensure enough food for all. The menu will be a build your own rice bowl, with rice, beans, chicken and veggies, catered by Oak Grove Market. The Hustle will have a buffet set up behind one of the endzones. There will also be some drinks and dessert. Feel free to eat and mingle on the field level where they will have corn hole and other games, or return to the stands to watch the game.
Sunday at Python Park:
—The lower bracket of the Open Division will be playing two rounds at Python Park on Sunday morning. Field food will be provided, however the concession stand will not be open.
